Unity Is Strength — Tamils Must Unite to Restore Sovereignty

Three false solutions—”Ekkiya Rajya” (Unitary State), Federalism, 13A—have trapped Tamils for 75 years, breaking our unity and enabling Sinhala control of a land they never historically owned.

Throughout world history, unity has created nations and reshaped continents.
The United States, China, Italy, Germany, Indonesia, and many others became powerful only because their people stood together with one voice and one destiny.

Where there is unity, nations rise.
Where unity collapses, nations fall.

Unity has freed nations from colonizers, oppressors, and racist systems.

But the Tamil nation remains divided—by ideology, parties, and foreign interests.
Only unity can restore Tamil sovereignty.

For 75 years, Tamils have been trapped inside three political prisons:

  1. “Ekkiya Rajya” (Unitary State)
  2. Federalism
  3. 13th Amendment

These models were never designed for Tamil liberation.
They were engineered to break Tamil unity, weaken Tamil political memory, and silence the demand for self-rule.

While we debate these illusions, we forget a simple truth:

This island originally belonged to Tamil Buddhists and Tamil Saivites. Tamil civilization on this island predates Sinhala rule by centuries.

The Sinhala never owned this island historically — yet they rule it today. This reversal happened not because Sinhalese were stronger,
but because Tamils lost unity — politically, socially, and ideologically.

The Tamil Diaspora therefore issues a historic call:

Let all Tamils unite behind ONE solution for ONE nation —Restore Tamil Sovereignty.

Not federalism.
Not 13A.
Not “devolution.”
Not temporary arrangements that keep Tamils under Sinhala rule.

The only solution that matches:

  • our history
  • our identity
  • our sacrifices
  • our ancient nationhood

is Sovereignty for the Tamil Nation in its homeland.

Unity created nations across the world. Unity will restore ours.

The future of the Tamil people will not be shaped by Colombo, Delhi, Washington, or any foreign elite.
It will be shaped by Tamil unity, by our collective will, and by our commitment to restore the nation that was taken from us.
