With deep sorrow and Christian hope, we announce the passing of Mr. Felix Arulnayagam Christopher (Aras), former President of the Illankai Tamil Sangam, who was called home to be with the Lord on January 1, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on March 25, 1942, in Jaffna, Sri Lanka, Mr. Christopher lived a life marked by faith, service, and steadfast commitment to his family and community. A devoted husband, loving father, and respected community leader, he served the Tamil community with humility and integrity, both in Sri Lanka and throughout the diaspora, including Canada and the United States. His leadership, kindness, and quiet strength left a lasting impact on all who knew him. Grounded in his Christian faith, he lived according to the values of compassion, generosity, and service, trusting in God’s grace throughout his life. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Ranee Christopher, his sons Dawn Christopher and Neil Christopher, extended family members, friends, and the wider community. Though we mourn his loss, we give thanks for a life well lived and take comfort in the promise of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
