“If 13A is not possible, what alternative options are they willing to offer? Any option below 13A is not acceptable. We need the reintroduction of someone like Prabhakaran. What alternatives do we have then? “

During a press conference held in Jaffna, the former Chief Minister expressed his concerns about the implementation of the 13th amendment. Despite his collaboration with Ranil Wigramasinghe, he realized that the Sinhalese community is unlikely to support the full implementation of the 13A.

It is unclear why Mr. Vigneswaran believed he could triumph over the Sinhalese. He ought to be aware of the past 75 years of history, which clearly demonstrates that no one can persuade the Sinhalese to support the Tamil cause.

In order to address the political future of Tamils more effectively, Tamil politicians should consider refraining from engaging in discussions with the Sinhalese and instead seek assistance from the US and EU. This change in approach may have the potential to lead to a solution. Additionally, reaching out to other affluent nations that provided aid to Sri Lanka during the war could also be helpful.

So far, we Tamils have been unable to effectively articulate the pressing necessity for a political resolution (referendum). The primary reason is that the Tamils require protection from acts of aggression, oppression, killings, and beatings by the Sinhalese community. Dr. Ramos-Horta of East Timor dedicated significant time to explaining the urgent need for a referendum to the Clinton Administration.

The US responded to Dr. Ramos-Horta’s request and exerted pressure on the UN to hold a referendum. Our Tamil leaders are lazy, and are not interested in pursuing a political solution. Their political future depends entirely on the existing political system.

In order to find a solution, it is essential to engage in dialogue with the US and encourage them to adopt a similar approach as they did in East Timor, South Sudan, and Kosovo.

Let’s discuss Mr. Vigneswaran’s compliance with Ranil Wikramasinhge and Sinhalese ethnicity.

According to Mr. Vigneswaran, if Sri Lanka refuses 13A, there will be no choice but to bring back Prabhakaran!

Today, on September 23, 2023, Tamil Seithy webnews reported that. You can find more information at this link: https://seithy.com/breifNews.php?newsID=307013&category=TamilNews&language=tamil

The 13th Amendment Act lacks sufficient power. Should the governments choose to reject what they currently have under India’s support, C. V. Vigneswaran, leader of the Tamil People’s Alliance and Member of Parliament, suggests considering the possibility of reintroducing someone like Prabhakaran. According to Vigneswaran, there seems to be no alternative course of action.

“If 13A is not possible, what alternative options are they willing to offer? Any option below 13A is not acceptable. We need the reintroduction of someone like Prabhakaran. What alternatives do we have then? “
