இன்று, வவுனியா நீதிமன்றத்தின் முன் தமிழ் தாய்மார்கள் மற்றும் குடும்பத்தினர் நடத்திய தொடர்ச்சியான போராட்டத்தின் 3,000வது நாளைக் குறிக்கிறது, உள்நாட்டுப் போரின் போதும் அதற்குப் பின்னரும் இலங்கை ஆயுதப் படைகளால் வலுக்கட்டாயமாக காணாமல் ஆக்கப்பட்ட தங்கள் அன்புக்குரியவர்களுக்கு உண்மை மற்றும் நீதி கோரி.
3,000 நாட்களாக, அரசியல் ஆதாயத்திற்காக அல்ல, மாறாக எங்கள் மகன்கள் மற்றும் மகள்களுக்கு என்ன நடந்தது என்பதை அறியும் உரிமைக்காக, வெயிலிலும் புயலிலும் நாங்கள் இங்கே நின்றுள்ளோம். எங்கள் போராட்டம் காணாமல் ஆக்கப்படவர்களுக்கு மட்டுமல்ல; அது சிங்கள அரசால் ஆதரிக்கப்படும் இனப்படுகொலை, ஒடுக்குமுறை மற்றும் எங்கள் தாயக ஆக்கிரமிப்புக்கு எதிரானது.
இந்த அமைதி மற்றும் அநீதியின் சங்கிலியை உடைக்க சர்வதேச சமூகம் – குறிப்பாக அமெரிக்கா மற்றும் ஐரோப்பிய ஒன்றியம் – மட்டுமே எங்களுக்கு உதவ முடியும் என்று நாங்கள் நம்புகிறோம்.
தமிழ் தாய்மார்கள் முழு நம்பிக்கையுடன் கூறுவது என்னவென்றால்:
ஜனாதிபதி டொனால்ட் ஜே. டிரம்ப் ஒரே ஒரு தொலைபேசி அழைப்பை மேற்கொண்டால்,
அனைத்து தமிழ் அரசியல் கைதிகளையும் விடுவிக்க முடியும்
காணாமல் ஆக்கப்பட்ட நமது குழந்தைகளின் தலைவிதியை அவர் வெளிக்கொணர முடியும்
எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் மேலாக, அவரது தலைமையின் மூலம், ஏழு தசாப்தங்களுக்கும் மேலாக மறுக்கப்பட்ட தமிழ் இறையாண்மையை மீட்டெடுக்க அவர் நமக்கு உதவ முடியும்.

இத்தகைய வரலாற்று நடவடிக்கையை கௌரவிக்கும் விதமாக, தமிழ் தாய்மார்கள் முன்மொழிந்துள்ளனர்:
அவரது ஆதரவுக்கு நன்றி தெரிவிக்கும் விதமாக, திருகோணமலையில் ஜனாதிபதி டிரம்பின் சிலையை அமைப்பது.
மூன்று இலக்குகளும் அடையப்பட்டால், தமிழர் துன்பத்தை முடிவுக்குக் கொண்டுவருவதில் அவரது பங்கை நினைவுகூரும் வகையில், ஜனாதிபதி டிரம்ப் மற்றும் முதல் பெண்மணி மெலனியா டிரம்ப்பின் சிலைகளுடன் கூடிய நெடுந்தீவை “டிரம்ப் தீவு” என்று மறுபெயரிட தமிழர்கள் தயாராக உள்ளனர்.
தமிழ் மக்களுக்கு 5,000 ஆண்டுகளுக்கும் மேலான நாகரிகம் உள்ளது என்பதை விளக்கி, ஜனாதிபதி டிரம்ப் மற்றும் செனட்டர் மார்கோ ரூபியோவுக்கு மார்கோ ரூபியோவுக்கு கடிதங்களை அனுப்பியுள்ளோம். இலங்கை தீவில் உள்ள பண்டைய கல்வெட்டுகள், காலனித்துவம் மற்றும் சிங்கள குடியேற்றத்திற்கு நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு முன்பே தமிழர்கள் இந்த நிலத்தின் பூர்வீக மக்கள் என்பதை நிரூபிக்கின்றன.
இது அரசியல் பற்றியது அல்ல. இது உண்மை, நீதி மற்றும் உயிர்வாழ்வு பற்றியது.
உலகம் கேட்கும் நேரம் இது.

Tamil Mothers Appeal to Trump and Rubio: Help Us Find Our Children and Free Our Land

Today marks the 3,000th day of continuous protest by Tamil families in front of the Vavuniya District Court, demanding justice for their loved ones who were abducted or disappeared during the final stages of Sri Lanka’s brutal civil war. On this symbolic day, Tamil mothers have made a heartfelt international appeal—to U.S. President Donald Trump and Senator Marco Rubio—asking for their urgent intervention.
These mothers believe that a single decisive phone call from Trump, known for his direct style and international influence, could do what no other world leader has dared to attempt:
- Release all Tamil political prisoners held since the 1970s.
- Find and reunite thousands of missing Tamil children.
- Help restore Tamil sovereignty in the island’s North-East.
“If Trump can make one phone call,” one grieving mother told reporters, “he can give us back our children, our freedom, and our future. That is why we plead to him today.”
In a powerful show of gratitude and symbolism, Tamil families in Trincomalee have declared that if Trump helps secure justice, they are ready to:
- Erect a statue of Donald Trump in Trincomalee, honoring him for his humanitarian stand.
- Rename Delft Island as Trump Island, with a statue of both Donald and Melania Trump as a symbol of global justice.
Letters have already been sent to President Trump and Senator Rubio, explaining that Tamils are the original inhabitants of the island, as documented in ancient inscriptions and Portuguese records.
These are not empty gestures—they are desperate acts of hope from a people betrayed for decades by successive Sri Lankan governments, including the current JVP/NPP regime, which continues to suppress Tamil identity, culture, and land rights.
The world must no longer ignore Tamil suffering.
It’s time for bold voices to act.
