- தனது குழந்தைக்கு 9A என்று கூறும் ஆசிரியர்கள் இருப்பது போலத் தெரிகிறது, ஆனால் உண்மையான கல்வித்திறனில் பெரும்பான்மையினர் தோல்வியடைந்துள்ளனர்.
- அதிபர் பதவிக்காக ஓடி ஓடி முயற்சிக்கும் ஆசிரியர்கள், மாணவர் கல்வி மேம்பாட்டில் குறைந்த உறுதிசொல்.

- இன்னும் 10–15 ஆண்டுகளில் தாமதிக்காமல் செயற்பட வேண்டிய நேரம் இது.
- தனிநபர் சார்ந்த பண உதவிகளை நிறுத்துங்கள். சமூக நோக்கில் செயற்படுங்கள்.
- உழைக்க வையுங்கள். குற்றங்கள் குறையச் செய்யுங்கள்.

Dear Diaspora Tamil Families, Think Carefully. Act Today.
- Jaffna District has fallen to the bottom in education.
- The discipline of students and the younger generation has deteriorated to a deeply troubling level.
- From drug use to prostitution, such behaviors have become normalized.
- Mafia gangs are everywhere. Even social organizations have fallen into the hands of these mafias.
- The rule of law does not appear to exist.
- Everyone is taking the law into their own hands, trying to enforce their own version of justice.
- A country without rule of law is heading toward destruction.
- There is no visible sense of social or public responsibility. Most people live with the selfish mindset of “Why should I care?”
- No one comes forward to question wrongdoings or speak up against injustice.
- Parents are not paying attention to their children’s education or discipline.
- Some parents even threaten teachers, including death threats.
- Jaffna society is growing into a community that fears no one and respects no authority.
- Parents are pushing their children into private educational institutions because they say society has fallen into such disrepair. As a result, they have no time left for their children.
- You may see teachers proudly posting about students scoring 9A grades, but you rarely see teachers today proudly saying 90% of my students passed because of my teaching.
- Many teachers are now focused on promotions, salary increases, or extra income, rather than genuinely uplifting education.
- Those who see teaching as a noble, nation-building profession have become rare.
- Some aim to become school principals for their name and prestige, but show little commitment to improving student performance.
- There are plenty of job openings in shops and companies, but today’s youth are not ready to work and earn a living.
- Some consider begging on the streets and drinking alcohol to be a happy life.
- There are thousands of opportunities in Jaffna to work or invest.
- With increasing visits by Sinhala and foreign tourists, there are opportunities to create entertainment activities like boating, swimming, etc.
- Caregiving jobs such as elder care, patient care, family support, and housekeeping are also available—but people are unwilling to work.
- Sinhala and Hill Country Tamil students studying at the University of Jaffna are working in local restaurants. It was heartening to see them.
- Above all, when diaspora families offer help by setting aside a small portion of their hard-earned income for their hometown and relatives, their support is often misrepresented as showing off or seeking attention. (Yes, some do show off, but most don’t.)
- The current Jaffna attitude seems to be: “Give money, don’t ask questions.”
- This generation of diaspora families still cares deeply about their roots and relatives.
- But in another 10 to 15 years, it may all be gone. Sadly, no one inside the region is willing to act with community-mindedness while there is still time.
- Finally, it’s now commonly said: “Diaspora families are to blame for Jaffna’s decline.”
- This situation not only applies to the North but is also true for most parts of the East.
- Therefore, dear diaspora families: Immediately stop individual, uncontrolled financial aid. Please stop it today.
- Let the people there work for a living. Or make them work for it.
- If they start working, crime will naturally reduce.
- If they come forward with community spirit, assess the real need and help thoughtfully.
- Don’t earn the blame of destroying a society in the name of your eagerness to help.
