The Tamils in Jaffna are expressing their gratitude to the Tamil Diaspora for generously providing them with equipment for Radiation Oncology Treatment.

In Sri Lanka, there are three locations equipped with radiotherapy facilities. These locations include Jaffna, Trincomalee, and Maharagama.

The Sri Lankan government purchased this Radiotherapy equipment for their cancer center in Maharagama.
The Tamil diaspora purchased two radiotherapy equipment. One was for the Tellipalai Cancer Treatment Center and the other was gifted to the Trincomalee Cancer Hospital by the Tamil diaspora.

A resident from Jaffna who is currently undergoing radiation therapy reached out to express his sincere gratitude to the Tamil diaspora group for their donation of the Radiotherapy equipment.

This individual has completed 24 treatments and only has one remaining, scheduled for this Monday.

He explains that many patients from Anuradhapura and other Sinhalese regions are seeking radiation therapy in Tellipalai. These individuals express their gratitude to the Tamil Diaspora for their exceptional efforts.

Donating medical equipment to the north and east is highly appreciated by all of us for several compelling reasons.

The actions taken by the Tamil Diaspora in the north-east will have a positive impact on both present and future generations of Tamils. By showcasing our capabilities, it will serve as evidence to the world that Tamils deserve their own governing body.

Thank you,
