The Tamil people must not be misled by appearances. Tamil Members of Parliament affiliated with the JVP-led NPP (National People’s Power) have done nothing meaningful to address the core issues facing Tamils.
Even when their party gained power, they failed to release or even publicly expose the list of Tamil political prisoners still languishing in Sri Lankan prisons. These MPs have never visited the mothers and loved ones of the thousands of missing Tamils, whose cries for justice continue to echo across Tamil lands.
Today, under the NPP’s watch:
- The Sri Lankan Army still occupies Tamil areas, maintaining an atmosphere of fear and control.
- Intelligence agents continue to intimidate Tamil civilians, suppressing free expression and civil life.
- No steps have been taken to dismantle the military structures that oppress and surveil Tamil communities.
The reality is clear: Tamil MPs under the JVP-NPP banner have been silent collaborators in maintaining the Sinhala state’s oppressive grip over the Tamil homeland.
Tamils must now vote for leaders who have not remained silent, but who have courageously created agitation against Sinhala policies — in places like Thaayiddi and Veddukkumari.
Vote for the Tamil leaders who stood strong and endured Sinhala police beatings during the processions and protests in Trincomalee.
The Tamil Diaspora is ready with trillions of U.S. dollars to invest and rebuild Tamil lands once true Tamil leadership is restored.
Do not be misled by a few lakhs of rupees from Sinhala-controlled JVP.
Choose true Tamil candidates for the local elections — leaders who will fight for freedom, dignity, and a prosperous Tamil future.
This is not just an election — it is a mission to liberate the Tamil nation from Sinhala slave economy and corrupt policies.
Through courage, struggle, and unity, Tamils can achieve the freedom, dignity, and prosperity that generations have sacrificed for.
