On December 13, the mothers of missing Tamil children in Vavuniya expressed their opposition to the actions taken by the GTF that have caused harm to them and other Tamil victims.
The Tamil spokesman, Mr. Gobalakrisnan Rajkumar, made the following statement:
Today, we commemorate the 2,488th day of our relentless pursuit to locate the missing Tamil children, protect Tamils from potential genocide, and seek support from the United States and the European Union in our quest for Tamil sovereignty. As we gather at this pavilion situated along the A-9 Road, just outside the Vavuniya Court, our unwavering journey persists.
We kindly request that GTF and its members return to your respective refugee countries. As Tamils and Tamil mothers of Missing Children, we do not need your help and we never requested your presence here to take pictures with Tamil enemies.
GTF were not asked to do what you are currently doing in Colombo.When we endure the hardships of war, many of you escape to Europe, America, and Australia.Your current actions in Colombo go against the interests of the Tamils, therefore, you are not qualified to speak on Tamils behalf.

The Tamil people feel embarrassed by your presence on this island. The way you present yourself in front of our enemies reminds us of a Tamil paramilitary group.
The drama being staged by these GTF members is intended to enhance the image of bankrupt Sri Lanka and its war criminals. We are aware that Mr. Sumanthiran has been working behind the scenes to support and organize this trip.
In May 1976, during the Pannakam conference in Vaddukoddai, the Tamils expressed their rejection of the concept of federalism. However, today they are voicing concerns over the need for Tamil sovereignty as a means of safeguarding themselves against potential acts of genocide and persecution.
It is absurd to discuss an undivided, indivisible and united Sri Lanka by GTF. We have been dealing with this issue for the past 75 years. In this undivided and united country, a devastating toll was taken: 146,000 Tamils lost their lives, leaving behind 90,000 Tamil widows, 50,000 orphans, and over 25,000 individuals who remain missing.
Another issue that has been repeatedly mentioned by the visiting GTF is reconciliation.
Reconciliation involves assisting oppressed Tamils by the Sinhala aggressor.
If the GTF is advocating for reconciliation, their first step should be to request that the Sinhalese return the Manalaru, a Tamil village, to its rightful Tamil owners.
Additionally, they should cease any forms of aggression towards our Hindu temples and relocate all the Buddha statues back to the South. It is essential to remove all settlements beyond the 1947 border in order to achieve true reconciliation.
They brought their religious symbol to Tamil regions and substituted Hindu deities with Buddhist symbols. They are taking our lands and damaging our economy., The armed occupation of the Tamil region is posing a threat to Tamils. Then they claimed it was an act of reconciliation. It does not lead to reconciliation. The actions being referred to are known as aggression, oppression, and ethnic cleansing.
Your identity remains unknown to everyone.Why are you intentionally going against the will of the native Tamils? How do you obtain the necessary funding for your extensive trip to Sinhala Sri Lanka? What assistance did you provide to the victims of the Tamil community in the Vanni and other areas within their homeland?
We are not aware of the qualifications possessed by each member of your team to discuss Sri Lankan politics. Has anyone on your team worked as a political or constitutional expert in your refugee country?.
We kindly request that you, along with the other members of the GTF, return to your respective places of residence where you originally received your refugee status. It is important to understand that your presence is not appreciated here in our Tamil homeland. If you do intend to visit Sri Lanka in the future, we kindly ask that you refrain from crossing into the Tamil border, as it is believed that this would bring bad omens to the Tamils.

The organization known as GTF has been rejected and currently consists of only three members.. However, it has been taken over by Father Emmanuel and Suren Surenthiran, who hijacked control from the original founding members, who are dispersed across the globe.
The Global Tamil Forum (GTF) previously comprised over twenty Tamil organizations from around the world. However, all of them decided to withdraw from GTF under the leadership of Suren.
The collaboration between Sumanthiran and Mangala Samaraveera, involving their pro Sri Lanka policy, resulted in the Tamil diaspora abandoning the GTF.
Here are some examples of their anti-Tamil activities of the GTF: secret meetings in Singapore with Sinhalese individuals to endorse a Unitary State, assistance given to Sumanthiran and the Sri Lankan Embassy in Washington in requesting the US assistant secretary to delay the UNHRC resolution for two years, and the Himalaya declaration aimed at preserving a united and undivided Sri Lanka.
